MakeBelieve Arts has been pioneering this work in the UK since its conception in 2002. Emma was a Creative Associate with Makebelieve Arts in the UK from 2012-2015.

It all aligns with Te Whāriki through the Communication, Exploration, and Belonging Strands, including the section in Te Whāriki “a curriculum for all children” highlighting equity, and the importance of identity, culture and language.
Our big thing is listening to other children and having respect for other children’s opinions and all of that has been developed through doing Helicopter Stories, definitely.
